Career Clarity Coaching
For professionals figuring out what’s next.
You've built a career you should feel good about. The credentials, the role, the trajectory. But somewhere along the way, you've started to ask yourself is this still what I want? Maybe something has shifted in your life. Maybe what mattered to you ten years ago isn't what matters now. Maybe nothing obvious has changed, and that's exactly what's nagging at you.
Sometimes the question is attached to a specific decision around a new role, a pivot, a stretch opportunity you're trying to size up, and sometimes it’s harder to name. You can feel something isn't quite right but you haven't worked out what. Either way, the work is the same. Gaining clarity about what actually matters to you now, naming what's been holding you back, and choosing your next step deliberately, instead of letting it choose you. Coaching can help you gain clarity on what’s important for you in your career and how your career fits into your life.
Who is this for?
You might be
Considering a specific change a new role, a pivot, leaving a company you’ve been at for years and want to think it through clearly before you decide
Earlier in the process sensing that something needs to shift but not yet sure what, and ready to figure it out instead of carrying the question for another year
Evaluating an opportunity a job offer, an internal move, a stretch assignment, and trying to decide whether it fits the life you want
Mid-career and asking bigger questions about what success means to you now, what you want the next decade to look like, and how to align your work with that
What ties all of this together is that you're already in a role and doing well. You're not looking for someone to send you job listings or rewrite your resume, you're looking for someone to help you think clearly about the question underneath the surface, and then act on what you find there.
Some scenarios that might feel familiar…
You've been at the same company for years, and the obvious next step is the one you're not sure you actually want. You've been offered something exciting and you can't tell if your hesitation is a real signal or just discomfort with change. You keep telling yourself you'll figure it out "after this project" and the project keeps getting replaced by another project. You feel grateful for the career you've built, and also trapped by it.
None of these come with a clean answer waiting to be found, and trying to reason your way to one alone usually just deepens the loop. What these questions need is real time and honest thinking, and that's where we'd start.
What we work on
Every engagement is built around your situation, but the work tends to come back to three things.
Get clear on what you value
Career clarity starts with values, not job options. Before you can choose well, you have to be clear about what matters to you now, which is often different from what mattered ten years ago, and almost always different from what you've been told should matter. We use structured exercises to surface those values, then conversation to test what they actually mean for the choices in front of you.
Naming what's holding you back
Most career decisions don't stall because the path is unclear, they stall because something's in the way. Usually some combination of fear, loyalty to who you used to be, and stories about what would be "responsible." Most of the work is figuring out what's actually going on underneath, so we can talk about it instead of working around it and come up with actionable next steps.
Building real next steps
Clarity that doesn't lead anywhere is just a different kind of stuck. Once we've done the deeper work, we get practical about what comes next: what does the next chapter actually look like for you, what's the first concrete move toward it, and how do you make that move without losing the parts of your current life you want to keep.

Not quite ready for 1:1 coaching?
The Values Worksheet is a free guided exercise to help you uncover what matters to you in your career. Use it to evaluate a current role, weigh a new opportunity, or simply start putting words to what could feel right for you. It's one of the exercises I use with coaching clients in the first weeks of our work together.
