Hi, I’m Aliya.
I'm Aliya Ladhani. I coach senior professionals through the career moments that demand real thinking.
I bring over 15 years of experience in finance, strategy, and technology — from Goldman Sachs and RBC to FinTech startups in London and San Francisco — and I've coached leaders at all levels across North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa.
I founded Base Pace on a simple belief: leadership growth shouldn't come at the expense of wellbeing. The clients I work with are already capable, ambitious, and clear-thinking. They don't need someone to tell them what to do. They need someone to ask the right questions, push them where they need pushing, and help them move forward at a pace that's both challenging and sustainable.
I hold an ICF PCC credential, an MBA from INSEAD, and an MA from Johns Hopkins SAIS.
My Approach
Coaching with me is a conversation. We explore what’s going on for you, what’s important for you and how to move forward. There is some structure to the conversation, which helps you see what's actually going on, build new skills on top of the ones you already have, and make intentional decisions. My approach is direct without being harsh and action oriented. I offer tips, tricks and resources, and feedback on what I’m hearing. The deeper work, when we get there, comes from asking the right questions and finding an approach that works for you.
Authentic
Meaningful change doesn't require changing who you are. The people I work with are looking for a meaningful shift. They're capable adults navigating something hard, and the work is about helping them think more clearly about it, not turning them into someone different.
Sustainable
The clients who get the most out of coaching aren't the ones who try to transform themselves in eight weeks. They're the ones who let the work compound over time — small, deliberate practices that add up to real change.
Yours
The goal is never to make you fit a model of leadership someone else came up with. It's to help you lead in a way that's genuinely yours.
Grounded
Working too fast undoes the work. Working too slowly never starts it. Your base pace is the speed at which growth actually sticks — and finding that pace, together, is most of what I do.
